Our last blog post was about reducing the physical stress of infections like poison ivy, poison oak, and sumac.
Bee stings, spider bites, red ant bites, so on are a part of summer and fall life.
Ann writes, "I got a bee sting on my finger last week. My finger has been itching like crazy off and on."
I asked if she thought to use our Insect Bite solution on the bee sting and she replied that she had not.
Two weeks ago, as I was trimming a bush next to my fish pond, a bee stung me on the outside corner of my eye. I swatted at it and my glasses went flying as I ran in the house to escape more bees. I was fortunate in that I got away with only one bee sting. But, it was at a very sensitive area. I ran right to the medicine chest and l applied the insect bite solution.
The pain was intense and I applied the insect bite solution frequently during the first fifteen minutes. The pain gradually subsided during that time from the sting.
Bee stings are serious, if you click here you'll see 6 around the home remedies for bee stings, but you're still going to suffer for a couple days.
By the time I went back outside in search of my glasses, the sting was becoming n non event. I had images in my mind of accidentally stepping on my glasses as Ralfie did in the Christmas Story. So, I crawled and felt my way (I'm kinda blind without them when it comes to distance). Yes, I was lucky--they didn't get flung into the fish pond. I found them and they were OK.
The results from using the insect bite solution on the bee sting were amazing--no inflammation or discoloration. During the next three days there was only an occasional twinge reminding me that I was stung--no pain. And, the only person who noticed that I was stung near the eye was my wife. I don't know how she saw it as I could not see anything when I looked into the mirror. The bee sting was like a non event.
Then, a few days ago, I was sitting on the swing next to the fish pond and I got bit my a mosquito. By the time I looked for the reason of the intense itching, there were two other bites--they had a feeding frenzy on my arm). My arm looked like this:
I applied the Insect/Bug Bite Cleanse as soon as I noticed the bite. It stopped itching after about twenty minutes and within a few hours it was a non event. I have no idea what happened to the toxins from the bite. I imagine that the insect bite solution actually may have cleaned them out.
There is also a solution for Poison Ivy, Sumac, and Poison Oak Cleanse.
The important thing is to remember to use them when you need them and not forget about them as Ann did.
