Disappointments

Everyday there is the potential for disappointments. In fact every minute of everyday there is the potential for disappointments. It's a known fact that the more expectations you have the greater your chances of experiencing disappointments.

How good are you at handling the disappointments? Unfortunately most of us don't even recognize them happening. Why? Answer: We might be in the middle of feeling anxiety, a panic attack, a headache, stomach unrest, and so on and not even recognize they are connected to a disappointment.

Or you just might be of the opinion that "nothing ever works out," and stay in apathy. Either way, disappointments win and you lose.

The truth about life is that "Life is more often about the plans that fall through (disappointments) than it is about the plans that we make (expectations)." And to get into a defeatist attitude of "nothing ever works out for me," or into headaches, stomach unrest, anxiety, panic, agoraphobia is to simply cheat yourself out of a lot of life.

Sure, no one likes disappointments, but they are a part of life and we have a choice. The choice is to recognize them, deal with them and somehow benefit or learn from them—moving us forward, or the other choice is to stay in denial (body reactions) and "woe is me" attitude.
